At MCI|AST, we are incredibly proud of our storied past and of our president, Tiffanie Ashley, for overcoming long odds and difficult circumstances to bring our company to where it is now. The timeline below describes our story so far; maybe you can be a part of our next chapter!
Tiffanie Ashley, originally from Laos, is forced with her family to flee during a time of great political unrest. In Laos, Tiffanie’s parents taught her about perseverance and hard work as they raised 11 children in a war-torn country on less than fifty dollars per month.
Eventually Tiffanie’s family is able to settle in Atlanta, Georgia; and Tiffanie quickly masters English and earns her U.S. citizenship.
Tiffanie moves to Kentucky and shortly thereafter starts her company MCI (Manfacturing Consultants International).
After growing steadily, MCI merges with another company to become MCI/AST, with Tiffanie serving as the company’s majority owner and president.
MCI/AST becomes officially certified as a Minority Owned Business Enterprise (MBE).
MCI/AST becomes officially certified as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE).
As the success of MCI/AST continues, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) services are added to the company’s growing list of services.
MCI/AST obtains its ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Tiffanie Ashley continues to lead MCI/AST into greater success – expanding geographically and in the variety of services offered, while concurrently maintaining a “small business” mindset when it comes to customer satisfaction!
